First an apology, my goal for this blog is to updated it as much as possible, and have a Trailer Thursday every week, unfortunately I was a little bit under the weather last week, and had technical difficulties the week before, but I plan to stick around and bring updates on what ever I find interesting hopefully you do too, thanks!

The first new movie in movie theaters this Friday is the action crime thriller The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington, Marton Csokas, and Chloë Grace Moretz. A man believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and has dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can't stand idly by - he has to help her. The Equalizer is rated R with a running time of 131 minutes.

Also premiering this weekend is the animated comedy adventure The Boxtrolls featuring the voices of Ben Kingsley, Jared Harris, and Nick Frost. A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. Based on the children's novel 'Here Be Monsters' by Alan Snow. The Boxtrolls is rated PG with a running time of 97 minutes.

With the summer movie season now over there is no big name films out this weekend which gives people an opportunity to catch up on their movie watching. The name Cantinflas might not be familiar to many, but to me and millions of others it brings a smile to our face. Cantinflas was one of the most talented and famous comedians in the 20^th century, so much so that there is now a word in the Spanish language in reference to his name and style of comedy (no I’m not going to explain it here just google it). In movie theaters this Friday there is the biographical drama Cantinflas starring Óscar Jaenada, Michael Imperioli, and Ilse Salas. The untold story of Mexico's greatest and most beloved comedy film star of all time, from his humble origins on the small stage to the bright lights of Hollywood. Cantinflas is rated PG with a running time of 106 minutes.

Cantinflas Review

The film is allright, if you have never heard of him it exposes you to his beginnings and the troubles he had to endure to get to the top, I thought it could have used more of his comedy and less of the side story about the film Around the World in 80 Days, which Cantinflas did starred in. The film felt rushed at parts and there was some editing issues, but what was spot on was the portrayal of Cantinflas by the Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada, he really did a great job capturing the mannerism and it made me believe I was actually watching Cantinflas on the screen.
