With the summer movie season now over there is no big name films out this weekend which gives people an opportunity to catch up on their movie watching. One of the movies which is premiering on the big screen this weekend is the drama The Identical, starring Blake Rayne, Ray Liotta, and Ashley Judd. Twin brothers are unknowingly separated at birth; one of them becomes an iconic rock 'n' roll star, while the other struggles to balance his love for music and pleasing his father. The Identical is rated PG with a running time of 107 minutes.

Friends gather at a wedding, but the celebration is shattered by terrifying apocalyptic events forcing them to examine life, love and faith as they must choose between redemption and survival. The Remaining is rated PG-13 with a running time of 83 minutes.

The name Cantinflas might not be familiar to many, but to me and millions of others it brings a smile to our face. Cantinflas was one of the most talented and famous comedians in the 20^th century, so much so that there is now a word in the Spanish language in reference to his name and style of comedy (no I’m not going to explain it here just google it). In movie theaters this Friday there is the biographical drama Cantinflas starring Óscar Jaenada, Michael Imperioli, and Ilse Salas. The untold story of Mexico's greatest and most beloved comedy film star of all time, from his humble origins on the small stage to the bright lights of Hollywood. Cantinflas is rated PG with a running time of 106 minutes.

An ex-CIA operative is brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving high level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect. The November Man is rated R with a running time of 108 minutes.

Cantinflas Review

The film is allright, if you have never heard of him it exposes you to his beginnings and the troubles he had to endure to get to the top, I thought it could have used more of his comedy and less of the side story about the film Around the World in 80 Days, which Cantinflas did starred in. The film felt rushed at parts and there was some editing issues, but what was spot on was the portrayal of Cantinflas by the Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada, he really did a great job capturing the mannerism and it made me believe I was actually watching Cantinflas on the screen.
